Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

The data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the processing of data on this website is:

GerMont GmbH
Karl-Steiger-Straße 12/06/18
4030 Linz, Austria
Email: office@germont.at
Phone: +43 676 703 88 24

2. General Information on Data Processing

We process personal data of the users of this website only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content. The processing of personal data regularly takes place only with the user's consent or where permitted by law. Below we inform you which data is actually processed when you visit this website.

3. Hosting and Server Log Files

This website and our business email communication (office@germont.at) are hosted with our hosting provider, Hostinger. When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes: IP address, date and time of the request, the page or file accessed, the browser type and operating system used, and the previously visited page (referrer URL). This data is processed exclusively to ensure the smooth operation of the website and to ensure system security, and is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have entered into a data processing agreement with our hosting provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking purposes and does not use any analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), web tracking, marketing pixels or social media plugins. A cookie consent banner is therefore currently not required and is not used.

5. Google Fonts

For the uniform display of typefaces, this website uses the "Google Fonts" service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). When a page is accessed, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google's servers; this establishes a connection to Google's servers and transmits your IP address to Google. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a technically stable and uniform presentation of our website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Further information on Google Fonts can be found in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Contact Form

If you send us an inquiry via the contact form on our website, your local email program opens with a pre-filled message addressed to office@germont.at. The data you enter in the form (name, company if applicable, email address, phone number if applicable, the selected subject of your inquiry, and your message) is not transmitted to a server operated by GerMont GmbH, but is sent exclusively via your own email program directly to our email address, office@germont.at. We process this data solely for the purpose of handling and responding to your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures), insofar as your inquiry is aimed at initiating a contract, as well as your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by ticking the consent declaration in the form.

7. Receipt and Management of Your Emails

For the receipt and management of our business email correspondence (office@germont.at), we use the email services of our hosting provider, Hostinger. Data transmitted to us by email or via the contact form is stored and processed there as part of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

8. Retention Period

Personal data transmitted to us as part of a contact inquiry is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for handling your inquiry, but at the latest upon conclusion of the related business relationship, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under the Austrian Commercial Code or the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code) require otherwise.

9. Disclosure of Data

Your personal data is disclosed to third parties only within the scope of the data processing described above by our hosting and email provider, Hostinger, and in connection with the integration of Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). No further disclosure to third parties takes place unless we are legally obliged to do so.

10. No External Map or Video Services

This website currently does not integrate any external map services (e.g. Google Maps) or video platforms (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo). Should this change in the future, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.

11. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you generally have the following rights: the right to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), the right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR), the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact details provided above.

12. Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Supervisory Authority

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Austria, this is:

Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria
